Preamble I recognize that the Disciple First Aurora is a distributed body of believers. I voluntarily enter this relational commitment to heal, learn, and grow in the way of Jesus, acknowledging that this is a partnership between my own will and the support of the community.

I recognize that this covenant is simply an overview of what the Bible expects of all followers of Jesus.

1. Personal Commitments

Active Growth: I commit to intentional working toward specific outcomes in my healing and growth as a follower of Jesus, and reporting those to at least one other member.

Agape: I commit to connecting closely with at least one other member, actively loving others according to Jesus’ model, being a safe person who listens well, maintains right boundaries, and speaks the truth in love.

• Consider my own faults rather than judging others. Matthew 7:1-5, 1 John 1:1-10
• Intentionally work on my healing and growth. 2 Peter 1:3-9
• Consider how to stimulate others to learn, grow and do. Hebrews 10:24-25
• Be generous and ready to share my resources with others. 1 John 3:16-18
• Not allow myself permission to hold resentment of others. Romans 12:18, Hebrews 12:14

2. Rights and Privileges

The Privilege of Growth: I may freely request assistance from others, including coaching from Facilitators, and participate in gatherings.

The Right to Grievance: I have the right to be sincerely heard when I feel mistreated, or when I have a concern about wrong doctrine or practice among others. I may bring a grievance against any leader or peer using the Grievance Protocol.

The Right to Exit: I am free to end my membership at any time, and my departure will be handled with grace.

The Right of Advocacy: If anyone brings a grievance against me, I may choose an advocate to be present during any restoration meeting.

The Right to Privacy and Personal Pace: I retain full ownership of my personal story, private struggles, and confessions. I have the right to share only what I choose, when I choose, entirely free from manipulation or external pressure. Any private info that I do choose to reveal will never be shared with others without my explicit consent.

3. Safety & “Care Consent”

Hard/Soft Flags: I authorize Gatekeepers to intervene in matters of objective harm to myself or others (Sexual misconduct, predatory behavior, or dangerous substance abuse).

Restoration: I agree that if I am “caught in a transgression,” the goal is my restoration (Gal 6:1), not shame or punishment.

Leadership Accountability: I understand that Gatekeepers and Facilitators are subject to these same rules. They do not have authority over my private life, but only over the safety and orthodoxy of the network environment.

4. Affirmation of Individual Agency

I enter this Covenant as a free agent under Christ, with the goal of walking together with others. I will be guided by the Holy Spirit and my own conscience in all things.
